With the way our current prison system is set up (to punish rather than to help or rehabilitate) I believe it is better to end the lives of murderers rather than to spend our tax dollars to keep them fed and clothed for the rest of their lives. However if our prison system was meant to rehabilitate rather than to punish I would be against the death penalty although I do believe there are some people beyond saving. I disagree with certain applications for the death penalty such as treason and espionage instead I believe that sexual assault should replace those, large scale drug trafficking is also on the list which I disagree with but most large scale drug traffickers are responsible for countless murders anyways.
