BILL OF RIGHTS Over the course of history, the Constitution to the U. S. of America is referred to as a living document. Today many of the civil rights and liberties of citizens of the United States of America are protected by the Bill of Rights. People often times feel that law enforcement officials have had the upper hand over citizens including criminals. However many have argued that the Bill of Rights especially the rights laid out in the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments have place extreme limits on the powers of law enforcement in that it prevents them from doing their jobs.
TASK:
Explain some of the important clauses of the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments.
Discuss whether or not the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments have prevented law enforcement officials from doing their job effectively.
