The Civil Rights Act of 1960 was made to set up government examination of neighborhood voter registration polls and presented punishments for any individual who deterred somebody's endeavor to enlist to vote. It was intended to manage oppressive laws and practices in the isolated South, by which blacks and Mexican Texans had been successfully disfranchised since the late nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth century. It expanded the life of the Civil Rights Commission, beforehand constrained to two years, to regulate enlistment and voting rehearses. The demonstration was marked into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and served to dispose of specific escape clauses left by the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
