During world war ii, approximately women served in the united states armed forces in noncombatant roles.

200,000 women served in the USA military  in non-combatant role in ww2. it was the first time that women were involved in the military. A number of women died in the battles some from enemy fire. The USA decided to discontinue women service as the public would hear none of it.
