Discuss the advantages of both internationalism and isolationism.

Internationalism allows a country to trade with other countries. Trading with other countries can be very beneficial, as they may be able to produce goods/commodities at a cheaper price than US busine. We see this daily in America, as the US imports millions of products from countries like China.

One of the advantages of isolationism is the ability to stay out of conflicts. When alliances are made with other countries, a country might be forced into a war they don’t necessarily want to be a part of. Isolationism ensures that the focus is on a country’s own needs/wants rather than worrying about the needs of another country.
