The major physical characteristics of Asia are: 1.COUNTRIES- is a region that is identified as a distinct national entity in political geography. Example: Philippines 2. MOUNTAINS - is a large landform that stretches above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually in the form of a peak. A mountain is generally steeper than a hill.Example: Himalayan Range 3. RIVERS  is a natural flowing watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing towards an ocean, sea, lake or another river. In some cases a river flows into the ground and becomes dry at the end of its course without reaching another body of water.Example: Ganges River4. SEAS - is a large body of salt water that is surrounded in whole or in part by land
