What was the bull moose party and why was it significant?

The Bull Moose Party is a third political party formed in the US during the early 1900's. This party is also known as the Progressive party.

This party is important because it results in several long term changes to American society including:
1) The creation of the 8 hour work day.
2) The creation of the 40 hour work week.
3) Child labor laws (preventing children under 16 from working).
4) Helping women to gain the right to vote (with the 19th amendment).
