One significant result from Johnson's Great Society policy was the creation of Medicare and Medicaid. These government programs help to provide medical care to specific groups of people. Medicare helps individuals over the age of 65 to pay for medical costs. Medicaid helps low income families to receive medical care.

The Warren Court refers to the time period when Earl Warren was the head justice of the US Supreme Court (1953-1969). During this time, Warren ruled on some of the most important cases in US history. One of the biggest ones was the ruling on Brown vs. Board of Education. In this ruling, Warren and the Supreme Court justices ruled that segregation in public schooling is illegal. Along with this, Warren ruled that the idea of "separate but equal" is in fact unequal.
