Alexis de Tocqueville was a French Scientist, historian, and political diplomat known for his two volumes of “Democracy in America” and one volume of “The Old Regime and the Revolution”. Both his volumes analyzed the social condition of persons as well as his relationship with the market. Being a classical liberal he was also an advocate of parliamentary government and an extreme of democracy.

Tocqueville led numerous tours to the United States during the 1880,s just to explore the democracy of the United States. He explored many aspects of American Society and also discussed them in his volume “Democracy of America”. Many of his programs were the segment of C- SPAN’s and were timed to coincide with the Tocqueville and Beaumont’s visit anniversary C-SPANis the series of programs initiated on Tocqueville's visit during 1997.
