Every campaign advertisement is essentially a propaganda tool and a marketing advert where it's not trying to sell you a product for exchange of money but sell you ideas for exchange of your votes. Most campaigns and ads talk about a certian political idea and delve into this kind of discourse which is important to the politican at hand - this was also well seen in the McCain and Obama campaigns in the past. 

He advocated for a separation of powers of the government and the ones enforcing the law.
