The experience of Siddhartha enlighment similar to buddist notion is the giving his wealth to poor people to pursue enlightenment.  Unrelenting search for truth is essential for achieving a harmonious relationship with the world and the universal understand of life through spirituality. Another similarity is that Buddha also only reached Enlightenment after fasting, that is what Siddhartha also do he fasted fifteen days to make it worth noting. 

Siddhartha works with a newfangled paradox where, notwithstanding the principal character’s final denial of Buddhist instructions, the biographical details of his life yet reflect many of the circumstances encompassing the legend of Buddha.
