Why is it important to be able to amend the constitution?

Two-thirds of the members of the House of Representatives must call for a constitutional convention to change an amendment. It is important to be able amend the constitution in order to keep it relevant and current to modern society's progress and beliefs.

Why is it important to be able to amend the Constitution?  

Our country is always changing and evolving! New technologies, more advanced understandings, etc. We need to make sure we can amend the Consitution to meet this specific generation's needs! We are also growing in population, therefore, more types of people and culture. We may need to amend the Constitution to make it fit for them. There are so many different people in this country, let alone the world, and we want to give them the right freedoms and laws to live a happy, full life!
