Missouri - This related to the Missouri Compromise since this was the state that marked the line between nonslave states and slave states. This was also the only slave state North of the 36/30 line at the time.

Maine - Maine was registered as a free state when the Missouri Compromise was passed.

Senated. 36/30 Line - This line decided the point where slave states and non-slave states can exist. Anything below the line was considered a slave state, whereas anything above the line was considered a free state (excluding Missouri).
