How were slaves sold once they reached the americas?

Slaves were brought to America in very poor conditions, sick, weak, malnourished, and wounded. However, these slaves needed to be sold, and it was necessary for them to have the appearance that they were fit to work to incediv the people of buying them.

When the slave ship arrived in America the slaves were washed, shaved and had their wounds hidden. After all this they were exposed for sale and were usually bought by planters or auction wholesalers. After the purchase, the slaves were subjected to a severe process of suppression of their native culture, where they were obliged to adore the language, customs and religion practiced in America.

in 1877, the nez perce war took place.

1881 - president james garfield was assassinated.

1882 - the chinese exclusion act was passed.

1883 - a decision in the civil rights cases legalized racial segregation in the united states.

1887 - the dawes act was passed.

1893 - the panic of 1893 took place. (what a creative name)

and there are probably other topics you can find if you just search up "united states timeline," or "conflicts in the 19th century for america."

then once you find a topic you like find out how it affected the people of america and what not. (sorry if this feels a bit short changed, history was and never will be one of my strong topics)

it was the "4. potsdam" conference that demanded the unconditional surrender of japan, since it was clear that the japanese would continue to find until the very last man otherwise.
