Why did andrew jackson appeal to the growing majority of democratic americans in the election in 1828?

Andrew Jackson appeal to the growing majority of American in 1828 because he wanted to continue slavery and many slave owners did not want slavery abolish. He also believed that each state should have their own State laws and wanted to expand the nations economy. A lot of elites at the time wanted to keep slavery and wanted to get richer. They knew if the had a president that had the same view as them would help them gain economic gain.
