The pharaohs of the New Kingdom needed a rigorous organization for their military and conquest campaigns. They adopted war technology and bronze weapons introduced by the Hycsos.

Inspired by the weapons of the invading forces the pharaohs of the new kingdom improved the quality of metal weapons by making copper and tin alloys in proportions that provided them with greater resistance.
