This poster was created by the government of Great Britain during World War I. What is its message, and what methods did its creator use to get that message across? A

The poster is propaganda which shows that the people of Great Britain stand behind their armed forces. The artist does so by literally telling people that their “place” is to stand behind the soldiers.
B The poster is propaganda which encourages men to enlist in the military by showing men of all walks of life becoming soldiers and describing the soldier’s life to the viewer as “your place.”

C The poster says that civilians are just as important as soldiers in fighting the war by using the symbolism of civilian men walking in the same line as the soldiers.

D The poster is biased against civilians and implies that the needs of the military must come first. The bias is expressed by showing civilians, even wealthy men, taking a physical place behind the military.
