Modern burial practices are similar to that of Egyptian burial practices because both practices involved burying the dead in a peaceful and respectful way. Both are different because in modern society coffins are placed six feet below the ground and is covered on top by dirt and grass. Egyptians built tombs for their ancestors and layed the coffins there.
