Historical research and analysis can be a bit like detective work. Instead of searching for clues we are looking for evidence, especially reliable and relevant evidence. (2) What evidence is there to indicate the artist’s views regarding Russia, Britain & Ottoman Turkey? (3) Why is Greece drawn like a crab?
