PART TWO: Summary
Write a paragraph summary of your favorite book. It must be at least 125 words. Pay attention to the
fact that the minimum word count will only get you a 3 in the Content and Development area of the
rubric. You can use your story outline to help you write your summary. Your summary will retell the
most important parts of the story in a way that persuades people to read the book. Do not give away
the ending of the book! In your paragraph, answerthis question: Does this story teach a moral lesson
that is supported by Scripture? If so, what is it? Keep in mind that Ephesians 4:29 and Matthew 12:36
tell us that words should be used carefully. Does the author use his/her words carefully? Why or why
not?
