Would you characterize men like Rockefeller and Carnegie as "Captains of Industry" or "Robber Barons"? Why or why not? Please remember that as you respond to the questions, make sure to include specific references to material covered in the book/readings.

As you respond to others’ posts keep the following in mind:

1) You may have a general response to someone else’s post which offers a thoughtful response to their idea. Do you agree/disagree with their statement? Why? Can you offer or contribute another piece of information? Clarify? Correct?

2) You may want to write a counter-response to someone that responded to your post. (Please see net etiquette) if so, Can you bring in more evidence or come up with a better explanation/details for support as you make your point?

3) “I agree” or “I disagree” does NOT count as a meaningful post. Put some thought into your responses. What details? Terms? Vocabulary can you bring into your response??? The goal is to make this a valuable and enjoyable learning tool.
