Who were the kulaks ???

Kulak, kurkul or golchomag was the term which was used to describe peasants who owned over 8 acres of land towards the end of the Russian Empire.

The Kulaks were a group of peasants in Russia wealthy enough to own a farm and hire labor. They resisted Stalin's policies and as a result, many were arrested, exiled, or killed.
