The Great Railroad Strike of 1877 and the Anthracite Coal Strike of 1902 were both momentous events in the history of American labor. They helped pave the way for the labor
movement in the 20th century. The similarities and differences between the two strikes construct an image of the constantly changing labor movement during the time period in
