Why did most Americans reject Marxism in the early 1900s?

they believe that a government_economy was best for all.they believed in a system owned and run by the individual.they believed that factory workers should make more than factory owners.

some people are just against it im not sure but i think everyone deserves to be treated equally i think people have a problem with it because its different and not like everything else i hope this !
