The men rowed as hard as they could, until at last, they
reached the open sea. In front of them lay the island of
Thrace, full of grazing cattle and sheep.

Odysseus told his men what the prophet Tiresias had said
and commanded them to row on. But Eurylochus did not
agree.
"We are all exhausted," he said. "Let us land on this shore
for just one night, so that we may rest and eat the food
