As people in the US began to buy more and more cars from Germany and Japan to take advantage of their better quality and gas mileage, how could the US government use tariffs to get American cars selling again? What could be a problem we might be creating if we put a tariff on stuff we buy, like cars from Japan or computers from China?

the virginia plan called for three branches of government and two houses of congress. representation in each house would be determined by population. the new jersey plan called for three branches of government and a single house of congress. each state would have an equal vote.

  because the great compromise was dealing with conflict on how congress would be made up of as well as  number of representatives many compromises had to come in affect like the virginia plan, the jersey plan and so on. the great compromise explained below.
