Fighting terrorism:

To promote national security and freedom for the US and America's allies, terrorism is fought valiantly. This is accomplished by minimizing the extent of alliances with communist governments and dictatorships that could potentially be dangerous. The US asserts that they are ensuring the security and safety of the citizens against these terrorist attacks when they establish democratic governments in these countries.

Advancing democracy & human rights:

By abolishing autocratic and communist governments and attempting to return the power to the citizens, the US is working to promote the constitutional values of democracy and freedom. These values will show slight variation depending on the personal agendas of our rotating presidential figures.

Shaping the global economy:

The position of pure economic power that the US holds enables it to better promote ideas such as having a stable economy through business relations. This is by no means saying that the US is in a position of ideal economic stability, only that the US position of power gives it a certain extent of "credibility". The US also encourages the action of keeping borders fairly open for trade.
