Based on what you know of the current government, and political parties, do you feel that George Washington was correct in warning the nation about their existence? Why or why not?

If I’m reading this right, this is a question asking for an opinion-based answer.
To be as non-biased as possible, George Washington warned of this, and he was right. He wasn’t warning of the specific things going on today, but the deep-seated desire of every human being for power, and the potential for someone in power to abuse it. It occurs in almost every instance in history, particularly under political systems with one or few leaders like monarchies and oligarchies.
So yes, Washington was justified in his warning, and the Founding Fathers were wise to structure the government in such a way that there would be checks and balances to prevent overpowering of one branch of government.

Now, as for the opinion answer of this question, break it down by asking yourself; are politicians today using their power to benefit their constituents, or themselves (or both)? Also, do you think the federal government is following the role that Washington and the Founding Fathers said it should; to protect the natural rights of their citizens and do little else?
