Your Assignment 1. Reflect on what you have read and learned about history and conservative
policies
2. Create three different political cartoons that evaluate the connection
between historical memory and conservative policies. (Think about what
issues may be "hot topics" today and consider how you might portray them
in a "Remember when cartoon.)
Think of this exercise as a creative way to literally "draw" a strong conclusion
with the same criteria you would use if writing an essay: referring to your thesis
statement (connecting a historical memory to a conservative policy), expressing
an opinion, and demonstrating a call to action.
Your cartoons will be graded on content, not artwork. So make stick figures if you
want to, so long as the message is clear.
What You Turn In
You will turn in three different political cartoons that evaluate the connection
between historical memory and conservative policies to your teacher.
