Just as machines changed factories, inventors were hoping to improve transportation as well. how did the industrial revolution change the way people moved from place to place? a) most of the word during the industrial revolution was in cities, so people did not have a use for transportation. most workers lived in the city and did not need to venture out of those urban areas.

b) the industrial revolution caused an increase in the amount of goods being produced in factories and those goods needed to be moved and sold to different markets.

c) transportation was viewed as a luxury and since people were making more money in factories, the demand for luxury increased

d) the revolution returned work to the country, so people har to utilize transportation to go back and forth from more densely populated areas.
