Explain how the Chinese writing system was similar to the Egyptian writing​

Ancient Chinese characters were highly influenced by Egyptian hieroglyphs. After a while, hieroglyphics were replaced by phonetic characters in the Western world (meaning the west side of silk road) . Alphabet, Arabic etc. ...
