What are some characteristics of democracy that dictatorships adopt?

There are many characteristics that dictators adopt in order to persuade people. One of them is a parliamentary institution to 'manage laws'. Elections constituted another element they use to cover their policy.

It's important to mention that all these elements don't have their right function, they are only a mask to international diplomacy and that stuff.

One example of this is Venezuelan government.
