Compare:  - Both got independence from colonizers
                   - Both fought against high taxes 
                   - Both created a Republic
                   - Both wanted political change  

Contrast:  - It was easier for the U.S to get independence due to the Unity. 
                 - As that said, Latin Revolution took twice as long as the American Revolution. 
                 -  South American Revolution had the people fighting against each other rather than their colonizer. 
               - Class division within South America.
