The Protestant Reformation was a  movement to reform the practices of the roman catholic church in Europe. It was a political and religious challenge for the Roman Catholic church. Reformers Martin Luther King, John Calvin and Henry eighth were the key personalities in Reformation. The reformation started with Martin Luther's 95 theses and ended with the treaty of Westphalia. The main ideas of reformation were to purify the church and also that instead of tradition, the Bible was the sole source of spiritual authority. It was the printing press that led to the rapid spread of reformation throughout Europe.
