I think that looking back on the Korean War it probably wasn't necessary for the US to get involved. After WWII we were debating going back to a nation of isolationism and it might have came in handy and we might have not lost those American lives. We had just fought in WWII and also created and used the Nuclear bomb. I don't know what would have happened if we didn't fight in the Korean War, but maybe the fear of communism wouldn't have been so big if we had stayed out of it. Very controversial topic.
