In the USA, the result of the problems plaguing the agricultural sector in the 1920s was depression in rural areas.

In 1920, half of the nations population lived in rural areas. The agriculture incomes stayed flat. In spite of the fact that the Great Depression started in 1929 many people stated that the 1920s was the Great Depression for people who lived in rural area.  Many farmers became bankrupt.

Plus, the 1920s was the rise of a wide range of social issues amidst a rapidly changing world.
