When looking at the attached map, we can clearly see that the dominion of the Byzantine Empire was vast an extended to Europe, Asia, and some parts of North Africa. The map indicates the territories under control of the Byzantine Empire and one can explain its wealthy and powerful hand over their subjects. The Empire could have raw materials, naturals resources, and goods that were traded with other nations. Important nations and territories were under the rule of the Byzantine Empire such as Italy, the Balkans region, Asia Minor, Middle East places like Damascus and Jerusalem, Egypt and the coastal places in North Africa.
