Why were Indians forced from their lands

President Jackson forced the Native Americans out of their homes to make room for American farmers. This was called the Trail of Tears.

Explanation:

They were forced from their lands by the pilgrims or immigrants from the European countries.  Thousands of immigrants from Europe came to the New World (America) for a new start.  They also thought it was India which is why many also came for riches, diamonds, gold.  The Native Americans were living on the land but wouldnt give it up.  The Europeans wanted the land for themselves and for some time created bonds with the natives and also had many wars with them.  By the time of presidents, andrew jackson had created a ban of native americans in specific lands.  Those Native americans had lived on those lands for many many years.  Those were the only lands they knew.  When Andrew Jackson forced them out they had to leave.  This caused the "Trail of tears"  https://www.history.com/topics/native-american-history/trail-of-tears.  So many natives had to find a new home and go down a long long trail where so many of them died.  It was called the trail of tears because it was extremely sad.
