Following the us-led invasion of iraq in 2003,

a.) saddam hussein escaped from the country.

The 2003 U.S. led coalition of Iraq was the final decision taken by President George W. Bush (son) and British Prime Minister Tony Blair after Iraq´s President Saddam Hussein felt to comply with U.N. resolution to allow inspectors to enter the country and look for Iraq´s  build up of weapons of mass destruction.

Many world leaders like French President Jacques Chirac and  German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder try to find another alternative to the imminent conflict by given Iraq more time to comply. But, on March 17, President Bush ended diplomatic efforts citing that they were useless, and gave Saddam Hussein an ultimatum to live Iraq in 48 hours.

The leaders of other nations objected to no avail to the military build up toward war. At the end,  the capital city of Iraq Baghdad fell quickly, and Saddam Hussein was defeated and later found guilty of horrible crimes and was hanged to death.

Finally, no weapons of mass destruction were found, and later many world leaders severely criticized President George Bush and America for this political blunder.
