Hoover had such a difficult time being elected for a second term because of his lack to do pretty much anything with the Great Depression. If I was one of his campaign advisors, the strategy I would have suggested that he should start showing and doing things to help to gain support. And if he was re-elected, start building more onto the previous small helpful things to gain even more support with the people.

If I was one of his advisors I would tell him to make programs that would help lift America out of the great depression because at that time people were looking at Hoover for help but he didn't provide the people with what they needed. Hence why Franklin D. Roosevelt won the election by a landslide in votes.
