In the South they would grow cotton. In the middle regions they would grow tobacco. Finally, in the upper regions they would grow indigo.

•Why were the jobs in each region different?

There were different jobs because the landscape and soil terrains were different.  

•Why were slaves important to the colonial economy?

They were important because they made the owner more money than they were bought for and they did a lot of hard work making them with more
