its probably damascus.

We muslims actually think its madina or damascus. The medina is the place were our prophet stayed and  even died. Calipha abu baker, omar, othamn, and Ali also used it as their capital. Ali moved it to somewhere else as he used to go to fight. But anyhow, the  Umayyad Caliphate was the greated islamic Caliphate of all times and thier capital is damascus ( where I was raised and born). As well, in school I learned that damascus was the real capital  of islam because even the ottoman emperors used it as capital.
