The goals of the New deal were to help the poor American citizens that had lost their jobs after the stock market crash on October 29, 1929, which represented the beginning of the Great Depression.

I think one of the most important or that created a big impact was the Tennesse Valley Authority Act of May 18, 1933, because it generated many jobs to construct electricity and power plants and dams to regulate water due to excess of raining.

President Roosevelt increased his popularity with the New Deal. However, by 1939, the programs lost interest due to a couple of factors. He could not get enough support in Congress to continue the reformation and the possibility of World War II in Europe became a major issue of concern in public opinion.
