Can someone help me with the last question
First Paragraph: Hook your audience into wanting to read or hear your speech. You can tell a story or use a quote. Introduce the event and basic facts like people and places. Use at least three to five sentences.
Can you imagine being present in such a historic time, and place that your state would go down in history as one that started one of the greatest (debatable) countries? Well, on June 21, 1788, nine states agreed to ratify the constitution. (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina) Although, it was not all flowers and sunshine during these times. before the constitution was ratified, there were people, called Anti-Federalists who opposed the ratifying of the constitution. Which side would you be on?
Second paragraph: Discuss the separation of powers and checks and balances. Use examples to explain the difference between the two ideas.
This idea is implemented in the Constitution to ensure that no one branch of the federal government gains too much power. For example, the legislative branch(Congress) can approve a bill that will then be sent to the executive branch (President). If the president does not like the bill or thinks that it violates the rights of citizens, he/she can veto the bill. Vetoing the bill stops the bill from becoming a law. This check on power ensures that Congress makes laws that do not violate the rights of citizens.
Fourth paragraph: Discuss the position of the Anti-Federalists related to ratification of the Constitution. Use facts.
Anti-Federalists do not want to ratify the Constitution unless it includes a Bill of Rights. The Anti-Federalists are worried that the Constitution gives too much power to the federal government. Having a strong central government caused problems when the US was still part of Great Britain. This is why the Anti-federalists are fearful of this type of system.
Fifth paragraph: Summarize and review what you wrote.
