How did the outcome of the French and Indian War result in problems for the British?

The British, now in control of North America and of colonies around the world, had an empire that was much too large to manage.
The French, upset by their losses in North America, began making plans to organize an army to invade the British Isles.
The American colonists, restricted to settling east of the Appalachians and asked to help pay the war debts, were growing resentful.
The American colonists, fearful of being attacked by the Spanish, asked the king to spend more money in defense of North America.
