In 2010 the National Governors' Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers presented national standards for math and English-language arts for students in kindergarten through high school. The federal government hopes states will use these standards instead of the varied state guidelines. But education is usually left to the states. Do you think a national approach is good or bad?
