Louisiana relied on trade with the North, which was bad and also had previously supported the abolition of slavery.  The state was supporters of states rights.  And Most voters in Louisiana had supported pro-Union candidates in the election.

some colonist were scard of british because they know what the other colinest were doing was treason and could result in execution so they decided not to participate in it
