Should a child clean the whole house or just their room?

Just their room.

Explanation: a child’s room is their own space. They are responsible for it. It is a part of teaching them that a clean space is important. They are not responsible for the whole house. The house is the parents responsibility.

A parent can ask a child for help with cleaning the house, but give them some money/extra allowance in exchange. It teaches them that they get paid for doing extra work.
