The due process imposed a strict guidelines that requires the government workers to respect all legal rights for the offender of a certain crime/misdemeanor.

The purpose of the Due process is to make sure that the offender are aware about the list of options that they can choose to properly defend themselves in the court. If they do not want to do it by themselves, they can hire a lawyer to represent them and speak on their behalf.

If the offenders can proof that the government workers violating any part of the due process, Due process provide those offenders with the right to actually sue the government.
