An advantage of a command economy is that operations, factories, or buildings are continuously producing products. Another advantage is that it has a flexible industrial sector. In this type of economy, they can get the exact demands of a society and can meet it which is an advantage on their part. Any company in a command economy can be told to work with another company to produce more products. A command economy makes the social and economic status of their people more equal. The last advantage is that products that they need right now can be quickly made and distributed. A disadvantage of a command economy is that it takes away personal freedoms such as job selection. Another disadvantage is that it limits creativity and research to make new products. The government controls everything that is produced. A command economy eliminates the competition, reduces communication, and it reduces exports. The last disadvantage is it encourages people to work harder for things that they never see. These are some of the advantages and disadvantages of a command economy which in my opinion the disadvantages out-weigh the advantages.
